my god, charlie is the worst interviewer i've ever seen! i can barely stand to watch this buffoon interview anyone.

his interruptions are nearly 100% of the time completely unnecessary and distracting. for instance, in watching the breaking bad interview recently bryan cranston (who is very interesting and articulate) was detailing the mid-life crisis his character goes through. charlie then (as usual, butts in with the obvious or banal) states 'so he was going through a mid-life crisis.'

he literally adds nothing to any conversation + he has no feel for the rhythm of conversation. it's like he's tone-deaf, interview wise.
i reallllyyy don't get what other people see in charlie. is it just that he gets interesting guests and has been around a long time?

brian lehrer, in my mind, is a far far superior interviewer.
