Gem of a B-Movie

I stumbled across this movie quite by accident on Netflix and I'm so glad I did. I like Will Keenan anyway from his Troma movies but this film is a step up from what you'd see in Tromaville. If you are tired of the Hollywood formula crapfests, then give this little indy a try. There are appearances by Ron Jeremy and Loyd Kauffman which add to the cool quirkiness and the DVD is loaded with extras and Easter Eggs.

Does anyone know if Aida Davis has appeared in other films? She was the sexy black girl Shelby that gets the corkscrew stuck in her ass. My god she is off the scale on the Hot Chart! My only complaint with this film is that Shelby didn't have a gratuitous topless scene.

I totally agree - this is a Gem of a film, a diamond in the rough.

I completely identified with everything Sean went through. Been there, done that. Patrick Hasson (writer/director) tore a page out of my life. I just watched this film recently, and I still can't believe how realistic it was. You can't get any more true-to-life than this film. The best thing about the film is you never once feel depressed. You remember the point in your life when you were stuck and waiting, but it doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. Nothing is exaggerated (except, perhaps, the corkscrew scenario), all the actors were normal, the overall production was smooth and flowed well.

The DVD itself is packed with treats, I watched Waiting 3 times right after I first watched it. The DVD Commentary is absolutely hilarious, I had to watch it twice to hear everything Will and Patrick said. Too bad there isn't a video available of them commenting on the film.

Will Keenan, I just stumbled into him (in cinema) quite recently, and I'm so glad I did. What a young genius, I still can't believe he's dedicated his unique spunk and brightness to Troma. He has a lot to offer performance wise, he's a phenonemal multi-tasker, he organizes promotional events for film companies, distribution companies, and even works doing major film festival promotions. Plus he writes, produces, directs, assists in direction, acts on stage in Independent, off-Broadway plays, and does stunt work. I would love to go to New York just to see him at work on a Troma filmset.
