At the beginning of the movie, it says that the population of Paris is 2.125m, of which 1.153m are women. Then it says that's the ratio of 1.4 women to every man. I think these people seriously need their head examined if they can put a craziness like this in a movie. I just started watching this movie and I'm already disappointed by the lack of thought behind it. :(

shareI think they might mean that there are 5 single females to every single male in New York City. That still seems much but I'm apt to believe it (being a female in NYC).
shareMaybe in Manhattan (possibly), but not in all five boroughs. The screenwriter obviously isn't a mathematician and hasn't spent too much time in NYC.
