What was the poem that Terence Stamp quoted?

Can anybody tell me the poem (or the Poet) that Terence Stamp's character quoted in Ma femme est une actrice?

reply

It was taken from Bozo Mueller's book "On the Sediments of an Oaken Flat" long out of print.

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.

I can't say that Bozo is for real, but I assumed that Stamp's character was quoting Shakespearean Sonnets. That was the only explanation for everyone being mildly familiar particularly with their beginnings.

Great movie, by the way. Charlotte is perfectly delectable.

The director says in the commentary track that what Stamp is quoting is from a sonnet by Shakespeare. Not sure which one, though.
