2003? More like 1993.
Movie looked so dated. Loved that it was an action movie without guns though.

shareFriedkin is an old timer. Now there is a push for more 'retro' looking aka shooting on film stock with older lenses (Hateful 8, The Force Awakens, etc)
Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity.share
Just seen it and thought exactly the same thing.
The sudden zoom ins on actors faces, the stuntmen who clearly ARENT the characters they're portraying, the weird cutty editing - all screams cheap early 90s.
Enjoyed it though!
I agree. At first, I really thought this movie was from the early 90's. It had a dated look to it. But still, I kinda enjoyed it. Maybe it was the director's intention to make the movie look dated. But seriously, I never would've assumed that this film was from 2003.
shareI didn't think it looked like the 90s. Tommy Lee Jones looked older in this than in the 1993 film the Fugitive.
sharebest hand-to-hand combat film of alltime
I kinda agree
shareThis is amazing filmmaking. It’s 20 years old and holds up great. I just saw it.
shareIt's tough to not miss the days when movies like this were made regularly
