Every person i've ever shown this movie to has died laughing. Of all the romantic comedies I've ever seen I would have to say it's definitely in the top 3. If this movie doesn't make you laugh...you are just too caucasian and you have no soul, in every sense of the word.
Too caucasian? what the **** is your problem? Stop being so racist and accept that it was an awful film. People like you are the reason that somedays I can hardly bear to go outside! The unashamed combination of poor taste, racism and a exceptionally low IQ.
Um, actually I am caucasian, so I don't see how I'm being racist towards my own race. If anything, your rant proved my statement--you're white and you didn't enjoy it.
As for low IQ, I'm actually a member of Mensa. What group for people with high IQs are you a member of?
As for taste, I would think that the fact that, as I mentioned in my post, everyone I've ever shown the movie to (all white, FYI) has enjoyed it would indicate that my taste is very well received.
As for you staying inside your own home, I think that's a solution amenable to everyone.
Actually I am mixed race and I found your statement offensive as a black woman and as someone with white heritage. I am sure you and all your fellow troglodytes enjoyed the film thoroughly but that was to be expected just as one could expect a dog to enjoy licking itself. As an actual member of mensa I also find it offensive that a moron such as yourself would claim to be a member of our great organisation. You're not fooling anyone.
thatsnumberwang, that was a stupid comment. I happen to have black friends who saw this movie and hated it. I have seen it and trust me, it is not that good. Seriously. It only got 1 out of 4 stars! How is this a 5.8? You're right...it should have been less!
Here are some other black films that I love, and enjoy way more than this;
"The Best Man". "The Brothers". "Soul Food". "A Raisin in the sun". "Brown Sugar". "ATL".
I don't know, probably has something to do with the fact that the script, direction, and acting barely reaches beyond the "community college" level? Overwrought, overproduced, overacted, OVERDONE.
