Fully Loaded 2000 Review

I remember this one being pretty good, I think it was an improvement over the KOTR. Live from Dallas Texas, your hosts are JR and The King.

Match #1

Six Person Tag Team Match

Lita And The Hardy Boyz Vs Trish Stratus And T+A

Matt and Albert start. Albert blocks a Twist of Fate and beats him down for two. Matt messes up a ropewalking armdrag and ends up on the floor. Test comes in, but a superplex is blocked and Jeff comes in for some doubleteaming. Jeff walks into a sideslam. Test slides out and Jeff follows with a pescado. Back in, Matt walks into a big boot. Trish tags in, but hits Test by mistake and Matt rolls her up for two. Matt tags in Lita and the place goes nuts and Trish runs. Hardyz doubleteam Albert, then do a 3 on 2 suplex on Test & Trish that got the crowd going even more. T+A cheapshot Jeff, putting him into the Ricky Morton role. Sunset flip on Test for 2, but Jeff gets chokeslammed. Jeff makes the hot tag, and Matt then misses a tornado DDT. Jeff helps out by hitting a swanton bomb on Test for two. Twist of Fate takes out Albert, and Lita hits a tornado DDT of her own on Test, which looked horribly cool, it had serious whiplash going on. Lita hits a tope on Albert and the crowd loves this match. Rana off the top onto Test gets two, but a cheapshot from Albert allows Test to powerbomb her, now Trish want's in and she gloats and goes for a pin, only 2. Trish bulldogs her for 2. Trish goes upstairs and gets crotched, and Lita superplexes her for two. Piersix leaves Lita alone with Trish, and she hits a sweet moonsault for the pin at 13:12. I was impressed at how stiff and realistic the women were with their moves. Usually they move like slugs and tone down the high impact stuff, but everything they did, especially Lita, looked like it really made contact. Good opener. 3 stars. The heels beat up the faces postmatch.

Undertaker arrives 15 minutes into the ppv and doesn't get suspended. He finds Angle and chases him through the building.

Match #2

Singles Match

Al Snow Vs Tazz

Tazz made his return from injury and started attacking random people for no good reason. Snow gets a legsweep. Brawl outside and back in. Snow ducks a suplex and superkicks Tazz. Sitdown spinebuster gets two. Al tries a pump splash and gets dropped. Snow comes back with an outer orbit top rope legdrop, change the light bulbs while your at it Al!!! AL hits moonsault and that gets two. Tazz clips him from behind, but Snow comes back again with some kicks. Tazz grabs one leg on the delivery and does the capture suplex. Tazz goes to the tazzmition but Al does a judo throw but Tazz hangs on and sinks it in for the win at 5:20. Short but packed match. 2 stars.

In the backstage, Christian feigns sickness to get out of defending the tag belts against the Acolytes.

In another part of the building, Stephanie receives more flowers from a secret admirer. HHH is pissy obviously.

Match #3

European Championship Match

Eddie Guerrero w Chyna Vs Perry Saturn w Terri

THE RADICALZ!!!!........EXPLODE!!!! Chyna runs after Terri and Saturn attacks her but gets beat up. Chyna sends him in and Eddie stomps on Saturn and hits the slingshot senton. Dropkick puts Saturn on the floor, and Chyna sends him back in. Top rope rana gets two. Eddie tosses him and Chyna beats him up some more. Guerrero keeps the ref ocupido the whole time. Eddie follows them out, hitting a tope on Saturn. Back in, another rana gets two. Saturn comes back with a powerbomb. Eddie comes out of the corner with a tornado DDT for two. Eddie tries another rana but Saturn just pushes him off and he drops flat on his face. Eddiey gets another rana, and a rollup for two out of a suplex attempt. Saturn gets powerbombs him again, but misses a moonsault. Eddie brainbuster sets up a senton bomb, which misses. Saturn pins him for two. Powerslam and Saturn goes up top, but Eddie knocks him to the floor. Chyna goes after him again, but Saturn puts her through a table, well she WAS pushing her luck. Terri sneaks back out, hits a lowblow on Eddyie and Saturn finishes with the humongus flying elbow for the title at 8:39. 2 1/2 stars.

Foley peeks in on Christian in the mens stall and he's faking his vomiting on camera. Boy, good thing the WWF deploys 25 cameramen to just stand around in various sections of an arena on the chance they can video something of interest to the plot.

Match #4

Tag Team Championship Match

Edge And Christian Vs The Acolytes

E+C pick on Dallas and even bring up the JFK thing. Bradshaw comes out and bitches at them about it. Yeah, years later he's getting himself barred from Germany for goostepping. Bradshaw kicks both their asses then they get him in trouble and work him over. Hotag to Faarooq and things fall apart and Faarooq hits the dominator on Christian then Edge runs in to make the save with the tag belt for a dq loss at 5:37. Feh, 1 star. Bradshaw was looking a little doughy tonight.

Match #5

Intercontinental Championship Steel Cage Match

Val Venis w Trish Stratus Vs Rikishi

Pin or escape to win. Fight on the top rope. Rikishi goes to the cage a few times. Val lariats Rikishi for two. Ropewalk elbow gets two for Val. Val tries to climb out, but gets caught. Val blades. He slugs away but gets sent to the cage and Rikishi follows with ass batterinr ram and the buttdro for two. Rikishi goes for the door but Trish slams it in his face. Val hits the Money Shot for two. Lita runs out and rips off Trish’s top, then whips her with a belt in retaliation for the beatdown in the first match and they head to the back. Val and Rikishi fight on the top rope, and Val bumps the ref on the way down. Rikishi goes to the top to climb out and walks along the edge, and after a long pause. He does air samoan and hits THE SUPERFLY SPLASH!!! Venis is dead three times over and Rikishi is hurting at the same time. He goes for the door and Tazz slams it on his head for no good reason, other than it's his gimmick to screw with good midcarder matches now I guess. Venis crawls over and gets the pin at 14:04. 2 1/2 stars. The finish sucked. Rikishi should of gotten the pin after the big spot.

Backstage, HHH goes looking for Angle in a dressing room and gets mugged by Jericho. In another segment Taker stalks Angle, Kurt does the cut around and ambushes him with one of those big plastic wrenches to the knee.

Match #6

Singles Match

The Undertaker Vs Kurt Angle

Taker beats the snot out of Angle, into the crowd and back into the ring. Angle attacks the bad leg and gets some decent takedown and wrestling offense on the injured leg. Course, Taker mounts the comeback and hits the chokeslam, followed by the last ride and the pin at 10:53. I liked this one alright. 2 1/2 stars.

Match #7

Last Man Standing Match

HHH w Stephanie McMahon Vs Chris Jericho

Jericho attacks and HHH bails. Jericho follows with a springboard dropkick and a brawl outside. Back in and HHH knocks Jericho back out with a knee. Hotshot on the barricade. Into the ring, HHH works the ribs, and chokes him down with Jericho’s own bandages. Onto the floor, HHH suplexes him on the concrete. Jericho is up at 5, way too early. Into the ring, HHH goes to the abdominal stretch. Jericho hiptosses out and comes back. Lionsault gets nothing but knees and HHH ddt's Y2J for a 7. HHH goes for the pushkill (standard sleeper that only HHH is capable of winning with, usually over midcarders he doesn't like) and that earns a 9 count. HHH slugs him down, Jericho keeps asking for more. HHH adds a Pedigree and relaxes on the top rope. Jericho gets up at 9. HHH grabs a chair and he goes for a pedigree on the chair but Jericho counters and laces him with the chair and HHH gushes all over. Jericho hits a flying forearm and a missile dropkick. Bulldog to the chair, HHH is up at 4. HHH goes over the top, and they fight outside and it's Jericho who goes to the stairs. He tries a Pedigree on the stairs but Jericho reverses. They each ram a monitor into each others’ for a double KO and they beat the count at 9. Back in, Jericho gets the Liontamer, and that bitch Stephanie breaks it up and takes one herself. Crowd goes bonkers but HHH knocks Jericho to the floor and finds the sledgehammer. He misses and Jericho slingshots him into the post, then nails him in the gut with the hammer. He goes for a moonsault off the railing but HHH stops him and gives him a vertical suplex through the announcers table and both guys are down. HHH beats the 10 count by a hair at 23:12 to win it. That's gonna boost this shows final score. 4 stars.

Match #8

World Heavyweight Championship Match

The Rock Vs Chris Benoit w Shane McMahon

Rock can lose the title by DQ tonight, which is probably gonna factor into the plot. Rock chases Shane, then stops to slingshot Benoit into him, that gets two. Rock goes for a crossfce, and Benoit bails. Back in, Benoit hits a gutbuster and gets a running knee for two. Benoit blasts Rock with the belt for two. Rock powerslams for 2, but Benoit hits a backdrop suplex and a Sharpshooter. Rock escapes, but Benoit dumps him to the floor. They fight outside and Benoit gets posted. Back in, Rock pulls out a dragonscrew legwhip and figurefour. Benoit makes the ropes. Rock hits the floor, where Shane drops him. Benoit and Rock fight into the crowd, and Benoit suplexes Rock back into ringside. Into the ring, Rock gets a DDT for two. Benoit lariat gets two. Benoit backbreaker gets two. Standing neckbreaker gets two. Benoit up top and the diving headbutt results in a double ko. Rock rolls over for two. Rock hits the spinebuster and People’s Elbow but Shane is distracting the ref. Rock only gets two as a result. Benoit comes back with a superplex for two. Benoit stomps Rock into the corner. Benoit grabs a chair, and Rock takes it, but Shane finds another one, blasts the ref with it and leaves it in the ring. Rock slaps the crossface on Benoit as the ref revives, and DQs the Rock because he thinks Rock hit him. Benoit celebrates with the belt then Commisioner Foley comes out and orders the match to continue. Benoit hits the triple suplex for two. Crossface, and Rock makes the ropes. He goes to it again but Rock gets to the ropes after a struggle. Rock musters a comeback and the rock bottom retain the gold at 25:29. Goofy finish to an otherwise very good main event hurts it, but not too much. 3 1/2 stars.

Overall Opinion: Good stuff on this show. The ppv's get back on track here after that mediocre King Of The Ring.

Final Score: A crisp 7.3 on the IMDB scale is what this show feels like to me.
