I guess he's implying that "Tears" has an homoerotic sub-text, or that both films break with traditional western conventions, or maybe the two things.

I don't see the homoerotic thing in the movie. But, yes, it breaks with traditional western conventions.

Oliver Stone saw it?? Was it before or after he made "Alexander??" Was he coked up when he saw it?? Did watching a beautiful film like 'Tears' inspire him to make the ugliest and most un-artistic film ever; "World Trade Center?"
