why wasn't Clint Howard in this?
I thought Ron Howard slips his brother into his movies in bit parts?

According to Howard's DVD commentary, Clint doesn't appear on screen, but has a line that is yelled off-screen. So I guess technically he IS in the movie. I don't remember what scene it is, though.
Speaking as Howard's family, IMDb lists his father Rance as a hospital patient and his wife Cheryl as an administrator. His daughter Bryce plays a Harvard student, but it's an uncredited role.
According to the DVD extras, in Ron Howard's own words, his father's scene was cut. Tough business. Can't even catch a break from your son, the director.
