Such incredible BS. Real guy was not schizo at all.

John Nash was a young guy who basically invented the modern day computer system we all now use.

He was not mentally unstable but that is a diagnosis they throw on anyone they want to discredit for brilliance.

Don't buy this backwards BS.

Freund fraud was a grifter a cheater a liar who wanted rich folks money.

If you weren't incredibly ignorant, you would know...

You are confusing John Nash and Alan Turing. Alan Turing was not mentally ill, he was gay. John Nash was in amd out of hospitals for many years with diagnosed mental illness.

reply

Also, he actually stopped taking drugs for it not long after he was diagnosed. He was not taking medicine in 1994, as the movie indicated.

I just hope that people who read this also investigate the contributions of John von Neumann in the architecture of modern computing, if they're inclined to understand these kinds of concepts. Turing did a lot of fundamental work and von Neumann conceptualized a lot of the modern mechanics of digital computing that can directly translate into the machine sitting in front of you or in your hand. Whatever the case may be.

I'm also surprised by the number of typos in this thread. The entire thread, just not the respondent GP. Spell check is one of the greatest gifts of general use computers to the common public.

reply

Spell check is a gift from the devil. When people trust spellcheckers they stop checking their own grammar and just go with automatic suggestions. I highly suggest "The the Impotence of Proofreading," by TAYLOR MALI

After about a half hour , you'd meet all the inner demons that that "BS" medicine keeps in check, and you'd be banging on that door to be let out!
Don't talk about subjects you know not a damned thing about.

You mean artists, right? They and druggies think schizophrenia is some kind of gift!

What does a mathematician have to gain from what you think of them? Name the last mathematician who profited from the dungheap of public opinion.

Wrong guy! dumbass!

So you are saying that someone who suffers from hallucinations isn't mentally unstable???
