I know people were saying it was Alicia just experiencing 'one thing too many'. But the scene just didn't ring 'right' to me, if that was their intention to show this. It made Alicia seem like a horny woman not getting any, and making her husband feel bad because he CANNOT perform.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus. Didn't he discover America? Penfold, shush.
I think that y'all are missing the point that sex, to most women, is not just a physical act but emotionally and psychologically nurturing to them. She needed more than the "d", she needed to be held, caressed, loved and desired. Look up the "flat affect", a side affect of some psychosis drugs and also trait of schizophrenia.

Agreed. What angered me about that scene also was: Why couldn't Nash GIVE HIS WIFE some kind of sexual pleasure manually etc. etc.? Its not 'all about him'.
Or at least embrace his wife, give her a shoulder massage, even hold her hand?! He lies there like a sweaty dope.

Again, look up "flat affect", that's the answer why or in this case why not. The person has no feelings, no emotions, they can't show it because it isn't part of them.
