How are the weakest links determined?

Just curious - in a round where all the players answer correctly, how is it possible that there is a weakest link?

Imagine this scenario: the players all answer correctly, resulting in them banking the full 1,000 pounds. Only one person banks any money, and most of the players have only answered 1 question (correctly). In my view, there is no weakest link in this scenario, yet the announcer always names someone as being the weakest link.

Any clues?

They also always name "the strongest link." Am I wrong that for that category, in case of a "tie," they give credit to players who banked money?

I think the number of questions answered, whether or not they were answered correctly (maybe even when Anne 'accepts" a certain answer it makes a difference), banking and the time it takes to answer the questions all play a factor in deciding who's the weakest/strongest link.

I don't think that ever happens, since most of the contestants are idiots anyway. I think it might also be how fast it took for each person to answer if that ever did happen.

I was watching a repeat on Challenge TV the other day, and I think this happened. I was only half watching. They got to the £1000 and nobody got a question wrong. They had to come up with reasons to vote people off. Like one hesitated too long answering the questions or whatever.

A lot of people did seem to chose the same person.
