Questions always this easy?

I hate Ann Robinson with a passion and stopped watching the show years ago because of her, but today I taped it so I could run through her nasty bullying and only watch the quiz parts. But I couldn't even last to the end of the second round.

My question is, were the questions always this insultingly simple or have they dumbed it down since I last tuned in?

Maybe it's just that since I last watched it I've been a regular viewer of Eggheads and Jeopardy. Mastermind too before they stopped airing it here. I don't remember The Weakest Link being primary school level years ago though
