Rank of Menachem

What rank was Menachem? I have a feeling there might have been translation inaccuracies. If that was a company, and I don't believe it was, then he should have been a captain. But with 3 stripes on his shoulders, it seems he was a sergeant. Then that was no more than a platoon, or a large squad.

I'm not familiar with how ranks are worn or not worn in Zahal. Can someone help with this?

Menachem is indead a captain, the 3 bars on his sholder show that, a sargent has 3 stripes on his arm.
