we were watching this movie last night, got really into it and the DVD stopped!!! we were at the very end... where Matthew M. was in the hosital and sent a note to his friend to come to meet him- right when he came into the room, our DVD died..

The ending left me puzzled. I don't know if the ending and the beginning were the same event in the bar--. I don't want to give away the ending, sorry ! but I didn't quite get it. If they were different events, Troy (Matthew M) didn't act like he had ever talked to Arkin before. If they were different events, one happening after the first scene, but later, MM should have known Arkin.
