My name was used O.O

I was looking through Emily Browning's IMDB page for the movie that she plays along side Billy Connolly and was slowly going up form the bottom. Any way I stop at Rebecca Myers and just stare at it because my name is Rebekah Myers, and I think it's really weird that they spelt the last name the same way and that the first name was Rebecca! granted the spelling for Rebecca is different for me, but it's still my name, which is weird and kinda freaky but really cool at the same time!
Note: normally people either spell Myers> Meyers, or Meyrs and then ontop of that they have my first name too, that's why it's odd. It would scare me if it was spelled the same as my first and last name ^-^

My brother is named Preston Myers... when I was younger I LOVED Ethan Embrey and he plays Preston Meyers in the film Can't Hardly Wait. It gave me a complex... but so is life. (Nice to meet you Ms. Myers...)

The name Rebecca Myers stood out for me too as one of my pals at primary (junior school) was a girl called Rebecca Myers.

The bible tells stories of a Jewish zombie who is his own father, and a member of a race partly created by the rib of an incestual couple.

Ofcourse the bible is stupid.

Also, the bible wasn't written in the Latin alphabet, so however you think it's spelt, you're wrong.

reply

Then your name wasn't used, but the name in the movie is simular to your name.

Plus, the film is based on actual events and real people, so the name is probably from someone else.

Myers is a pretty common surname, so it's hardly surprising.

My name is Jones!!!!!!!!!

Rebekah? That's a pretty stupid way to spell the name :P

Mike Myers!

I guess the bible is stupid then, huh. My spelling is the biblical version of Rebecca.

reply

Yes. Yes it is. The bible is extremely stupid, congratulations for noticing.

The area I live in there aren't many Myers' around so it really took me by surprise, I guess.

Technically my name was used, and yet, at the same time, my name wasn't. Sounds the same, spelled differently.

As for it being based on actual events, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

reply

Technacly it wasn't. If your name is Thomas (or even Thomas Anderson), it doesn't mean that your name was used for the character Neo in Matrix. It just means that you have the same name. It means nothing.

You completely missed the point of my post. I didn't mean they named the character after me, but that the character and I share the same name with different spellings. I may have used the wrong words to describe what I had meant, but I don't feel that my naiveness in the way I expressed myself deserves your attitude.

All I was trying to say was the both I and the character share the same name, different spellings, but the same name.

i was equally suprised that no name in this film was even remotely similar to my own

My name is Oblongo Obernavel and you used my initials! How sanguine is that?

The day they use my name in a movie (as a character) will be a very scary day.

I had a crush on a girl named Anna Scott when I was in primary school in the early 90s. Late 90s come around and Notting Hill is released, starring Julia Roberts as Anna Scott!
