Umm, usually 'acts of god' are covered


Usually the whole acts of god thing means you are covered because you wouldn't have put your equipment/property/vehicle in harms way knowingly because you wouldn't know lightning would strike or whatever.
But knowing insurance companies, this is probably happening to a lot of people that don't read the contracts. I personally would rather live without any insurance and just start paying for what I need when I need it because it is set up so that if it does help you, you will eventually be paying so much you wont be able to afford it after it's used.

Well, in the U.S. (California) Earthquake and/or Flood insurance need to be added separately for it to be covered.
