How come they didn't make the other Blue Sky movies like this?

This film was very funny and entertaining but there were also a lot of serious moments that snap people back into reality. It's just my opinion, but I think that's how animated movies should be. Disney and Pixar do it all the time, so how come Blue Sky and others can't do it?

I think BlueSky decided to focus on humour the most in their movies like DreamWorks.

I loved the original movie. I wish the Blue Sky had kept some of the qualities of the first movie into the sequels too. Admittedly that would be difficult though, its all too easy to make a lame script and know your still gonna make money
