A rarity: a thriller with a soul.

BRIGHAM CITY is a terrific movie, and I'm not someone who usually is into serial killer fare. I think the difference is that this film uses murder mystery conventions to explore lost innocence, growing mistrust, and the healing power of community instead of just being an exploitation film. I recently included it on my list of "Halloween Movies That (probably) Won't Give You Nightmares."
