Thats my Bush was NOT CANCELLED because of 9/11

The show was cancelled 4 months before Sept 11 even happened

It was cancelled because it was costing 700,000 dollars an episode, and although the show had a good fanbase, it wasn't high enough for the cost

Yea right. Go ahead and belive anything they say. 700.000 dollars for a one episode of crappy sitcom?? i mean like WTF They blow a plane in every episode or Tom Cruise is playing?? It's more than obvious why it was cancelled and that's final.

dicnar, I watched every episode of this show and i know for a fact that it was cancelled BEFORE 9/11.

Since they only made eight episodes, perhaps the entire budget of the series was around $5.6 million. That would average out to $700,000 per episode, but there's no way you could conclude that it would have cost $700,000 an episode to continue. That's more like a number they ended up with when they decided to cut their losses. There were no big name stars, no special effects, nothing that would cost that much to sustain. As I recall, it was still on the air until 9/11 although there hadn't been a new episode in awhile. Nothing had been reported in the news about it being cancelled. But on 9/11, I remember realizing that this show was history.

The show was offically announced as cancelled in early August 2001. Here's a news article dated August 3rd, 2001 stating production had been halted on the show:

And here's an article dated August 6th, 2001 stating the show has been announced as cancelled:

In conclusion: "Thats My Bush!" was NOT CANCELLED because of 9/11!

Boy hempforvictory1942! You really are stupid! It's bad enough that we have moron/conspiracy theorists abound, but thats the price we paid when the internet became available to everyone, but to add outright lies to the stupidity is something else! Now they challenge reality itself!!

Nothing had been reported in the news about it being cancelled.
WHAT??!!!!! It was all over the media that the show was cancelled! And yes that was way before 9/11! God these idiots have gone beyond conspiracy theories and now deny documented facts! Unbelievable!

Sitcoms are notoriously expensive. That's probably why HBO cancelled Lucky Louie.

Could be!

From what I understand that is true.To create the sets and all the cast and crew plus having the live studio audience, if it was a live one, and plus promotion and so on and so forth. It is much cheaper to produce the animated series "South Park" and the one location studio show, "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report." Hell even Reno:911 only uses a hand held crew to record and the scripts are mostly improvised.

I would love to see more episodes of the show made if they could but I don't know what the cost are involved but there have been so many funny things I would like to see reflected in a show like this.

Also, in a four camera show; they have four cameras running tape all the time. Combined with cast, crew, the great sets and everything - that adds up.

I'd like to think HBO cancelled Lucky Louie because they realized what a horrible, horrible show it was and felt the need to purge all employees responsible for putting it on the air in an attempt to erase it from history.
