I know what you mean. I've only been to Medora a few times, but I love it. I also think it was pretty cool that it was filmed there. ND deserves much more then it gets.

Yeah it does but I'm pissed that our state financed this flop of a movie to bring "recognition" to ND. What a waste.

Ohhh I love Medora! I grew up in Bismarck, and had only passed through once until July 2005, when I moved to South Heart (between Dickinson and Belfield). Now I go there all the time, and have friends there. It's such a great town. Hopefully I can get a job there this summer.

I used to go by Bismarck quit a bit. I used to always get fuel at Lander's Conoco near I-90 Exit 159! When I think of Dickinson, 'The Wurst Shop in Dickinson' comes to mind.

I'm not sure exactly where South Heart or Medora are though.

HEY MC2-Bjornson!

Um, South Heart is approximately 12 miles west of Dickinson, and about 12-13 miles east of Belfield. Medora is like, right in the Badlands. Probably... 50 miles west of Dickinson.

Hey Moo-Bit :)

Thanks for sharing! That gives me a ballpark idea.

I know that part of North Dakota somewhat. I used to go through alot. Pretty windy! On I-90, I think the time zone change is @ mile marker 96. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is pretty cool, almost lunar like at night-time.

I wanna say I remember something called 'The Enchanted Highway' out there.

South Heart is ten miles west of Dickinson, Belfield is ten miles west of South Heart, Medora is 15 miles west of Belfield. All major cities are 100 miles apart, for the railroad (back then), and smaller towns/cities are approximately 10 to 15 miles apart.
