How come this movie is never shown anymore?

This movie used to go on cartoon network all the time during Christmas time. Its a week until Christmas, and nothing. I like this movie and gets me into the Christmas mood every time. So what happened?

I was wondering the same thing...

jerks probably just making up new Christmas movies or puting in random ones for the season instead of the classics. That's been happening a lot now

Well, in not sure about this version, but the original [bass/rankin] is RARELY shown anymore because it is not considered to be in the true spirit of Christmas. This story is often accused of being too 'pagan' and anti-christian.

it sucks compared to the original. I was awe struck when i first saw it on tv. I was like wtf is this crap?

WHAT? This movie was amazing, like the perfect christmas movie. It had everything. The stop motion is ugly to look at.

They showed it here on Norwegian television christmas 2008. I wish they would release the English version on DVD, all I could find was a Russian and Greek version.

The stop-motion version is still seen on American television as part of ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas" Marathon that runs throughout the month of December. As for the traditionally animated version, I haven't seen it since it used to air on Cartoon Network in the early 2000's. It's sad really :(

The entire movie is on Megavideo, I'm watching it right now after three or so years. http://www.megavideo.com/?d=X7OEM9D5

Thanks for the link. Discovered it a little too late though, lol. I hope the link will be alive for christmas this year too.

Cartoon Network loved distancing itself from it's past. Licensed content like this, were easy things not to have to pay for.

However it should pop up somewhere now. I picked up the dvd this week when I saw it in the store. Not my favorite, but something I so wanted to see again.
