One of the very few remarkable B movies out there.

This movie is an intriguing take on demons and satanic cults, which are often portrayed terribly.
I liked how the supernatural is put into an urban context, with none of the hell/portal/alternate dimension stuff.
The psychological side is handled well, and the characters are not dull or cliché, but interesting and quirky.
The story is not stupid, and the pacing and developement are just fine.
The finale is peculiar and thought-provoking, open to many interpretations.
Technically, it's well-directed, and the music is very good and fitting.
There isn't much gore, so it's rather safe to watch for those who don't want much blood.
It's always enjoyable to watch, and never has a boring moment.
Karl Urban is even hotter than usual, and provides a solid, intense performance.
To sum it up, I really like it, and I'm glad I had the chance to buy the DVD.
Recommended to any horror fan who is looking for something different.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
