A politically correct psycho killer film.

Was there a reason that the killer kept from murdering the black actor? He had around four oppurtunities to do so. Maybe he's a racially sensitive killer nut? The movie is a piece of PUTRID CRAP. period.

Virtually every slasher film ends with one lone missy and one alpha stud still standing, so it was moderately refreshing to see that the alpha male at the end was a black man.

This just came on cable the other night and me and a friend of mine were trying to figure out why the black guy was saved considering in most flicks the minority usually gets killed fairly soon. Well this is what we think. Mind you this is a shot in the dark because we believe there was no way possible the writers of this movie would of thought to connect the dots, so here goes. Remember when the friend(killer) was presumed dead on the boat the black guy was the only one who was upset and cared. Remember he was scolding everybody for having such a good time and forgetting about their dead friend. The killer was watching them so he had to know what the guy was saying to his friends. Since part of the killers reasons for killing everyone is because he was not rich so he never was accepted by them he must of saw the black guy was not like the rest of them and really did like him. A compassionate killer, one would call him, lol. I want to know why the black guy did not figure out the killer was giving him a pass. Everybody is getting killed but all that happens to him is he gets knocked on the head a few times.

Good, I think my bf and I came up with the same hypothesis. We also thought it was dumb that he was given so many chances to live. At least, he was around in the end though.

I can't see why the writer would give him so much dialog about how uncaring his friends were if it didn't mean something. Considering the writing was so bad.

My bf and I have seen this movie so many times because nothing else was on, but I can honestly tell you I have no idea what the plot is! So yes, the writing is bad. The best thing about the movie were the 3 guys.....well their bodies. The movie seemed to fit so many horror movie plots into it that it was a mess. It would've been better (to a small degree) if Chad Allen's character did not go on the trip with them; even though I never got a sense of closeness between these friends.
