dont know if i'd say i "loved it" though
it was by far the most depressing movie I have ever seen. sad, made me cry, and i was literally depressed for days. watched it on a friday night and didnt want to get out of bed for the whole weekend (and i wasnt in a sad mood to start with, it just dropped me there and buried me).
would i recommend it, Definetly.
but i would warn people, it is damn sad.
it's a very powerful film that portrays an aspect of asian culture that most asians wish to ignore and pretend it's not happening.
Tabu was aamzing.
I agree. I have seen it just once, I thought it was in the same year when it released, and the impact is such that I can still remember most of it. I could not stop thinking about it too for days after I watched it.
