Runtime (in general)

My question is, are "Runtime" values IMDB provides for USA only? I mean, when a PAL movie is screened as NTSC, its longer, approximately 5 minutes/two hours. So, may I assume that IMDB runtime values are based on NTSC copies,or whatever is shown in the US, or the originals? For this movie, it says this movie is 128 minutes, my DVD is 122, what should I think, that my copy is cencored or it's just FPS difference, or both?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. But I still think IMDB must be more clear.

i agree,
they should read "runtime: 128min/NTSC 122min/PAL"

The six minute difference could account for the fact that NTSC and PAL run at different speeds, so the exact same footage could be in both, but the the shorter version is just slightly faster. Just a theory.
