Good luck finding out anything. I've tried to contact the "official" sites for the people who created this film and the ones who are supposed to be distributing it, and none of them have bothered to reply--not even with some generic reply saying their plans are still in progress.

There seem to be DVD copies floating around eBay, if you want to order from Asia. However, I don't know if the movie was officially released on DVD there or if they are pirated DVDs.

If you're wanting to hear the English-language cast, though, eBay isn't any help. It looks like those Asian DVDs are all in the original Mandarin language with English subtitles.

If the distributor's can't make a deal for a theatrical release after all these years, you'd think they would at least dump it out there on an official DVD to counter the Asian (possibly pirated?) versions!

A DVD with the English voices was released in the Netherlands, so you can have English voices with Dutch subtitles...if you have a DVD player that can play European DVDs--and want to pay the price.

Region 2 DVD is available at http://www.amazon.co.uk

It's a Dutch DVD, English language version with Dutch only subtitles

Hello McDemuth,

My name is Glenn Chaika and I Directed the film.

What is happening and has been happening is that the film is in some legal limbo with the people who now have the rights to the film BUT they are having trouble releasing the film through some distribution companies.

The Chinese studio where we did it (in Shenzhen and in Hong Kong) is waiting to see what this other company does with it IF they can do anything with it. If not I think there is a certain time span (like 1 more year now) to then do something with it OR they have to revert it back to the Chinese studio/company who made it.

This is what I was told last.

I am Happy to know that there are fans of this film like yourself and others too out there wanting to finally see it. We worked hard on it. It is all done in HD format and it looks wonderful. VERY rich. ALOT of Jean "Moebius" Gerard's work and designs are truely in there. You will see it.

I hope this helps you out and others too with any questions about why is this not out yet.

I am sharing your frustrations.

Sincerely,

Glenn Chaika

Well here we are... 10 years after the film was made, and there still is no release in the United States.

No DVD, & No Blu-Ray...

I've read some other posts here, and saw something about a breach of contract by the distributors for not releasing it...

Can't someone else release it?

What's the big issue?

Someone on the production staff must have a digital copy, that can burn it to DVD...

Hell, I'm willing to even buy it through a Manufacture On Demand (MOD) program. Let's say: $25.00 for the film + the cost of the blank DVD-R & Blu-Ray discs, + the cost of Burning them + the cost of placing them in a combo Pack + Shipping & handling!

What would that be in total...Something like $35.00 or $40.00

I'll pay that!

How can you lose money on THAT?

At least it will allow us to finally see the film!

Some movies were cancelled and never got made that people would be glad to see... Here is a movie already made sitting on the shelf, ready to go...
