Nathan in Vietnam in '75

Ummmm, couldn't they have gotten a younger actor to play a young Nathan? I LOVE Robert Redford, but he can't play himself 20 years younger anymore. Didn't Brad Pitt play a younger version of RR in a movie? :) And Brad Pitt looked pretty old too.

I thought I would like this movie, (mainly because of Robert Redford) it started out good...but I got bored and stopped paying attention...I'll have to rewatch it when the kids are sleeping :)

Love this movie. Terrific smart script that got western media control and cia funded terrorism into a movie. It was intriguing because the espionage all seemed pretty plausible.

Redford in semi realtime at the office, rescuing his man, using a bunch of covert skills to do it, like when he does the bosses signature, was super smooth. I thought Redford was gold.

It's almost plays like a sequel to 3 days of the Condor, as if over the years Redfords gone inside the machine to try and fix it.

But I find the pace of the Beirut stuff a bit sloppy. And the love interest was a fanatic terrorist? I felt her character was a little over the top.

But the weathered face of Redford in the Vietnam scene was pretty distracting. It would be interesting to see a recut with some visual effects on Redford in the flashbacks, to see if the movie was better.

Jeez, I loved it when they played Brothers in Arms. That song is killer.

Yeah, I didn't think the flashback felt right.
