What did one learn from viewing this movie?

If one can see connections within the big picture regarding to people, ideas and events, he/she can do many interesting things. He understood the paradigm, the approaches, the circumstances and the exceptions. ... That is what Nathan Muir did. ...

Always be prepared for worst case scenario.

Gladys Jennip: Feeling a little paranoid on our last day?
Nathan Muir: When did Noah build the ark Gladys? Before the rain.

Summarywise, only the paranoid survive.

I don't watch movies to learn, I watch to be entertained.
But I did learn.... three cute lines...
1. When did Noah build the ark, Gladys? ... Before the rain.
2. We need a team player... When I heard that, I knew I was about to be benched
3. The vet offered to put her (the plow or plough horse) down, and my uncle said... Why would I pay someone else to kill a horse that was mine.

Great writing, great directing, great acting, great movie.

1. Old European guys will let random strangers into their homes to show them the view from the balcony.
2. The CIA doesn't have marriage records of their veteran agents.
3. Rooms that require clearance to enter have glass slit windows on the doors; allowing anyone to look in at the huge tactical map inside.

Check the credits, the old guy is listed as an estate agent, so, he thinks he might sell the apartment to this (probably) penniless guy???

Yep.

Also, before Bob gets too much older, he and Brad should do another movie together and this time have them play father and son. Nathan and Tom really did look and act like father and son. I can see how it would get into "Hallmark movies" if it turned out Tom had been Nathan's long lost son, but...
