OK, one thing I did not get.

There is no school! The kids are never at school. Then you have a Six Man team that also does not represent a school. Here in Texas, six-man football is strictly a school activity.

Maybe it's an Alaskan summer?

I think it's pretty clear this isn't affiliated with any schools. The coach isn't a teacher. He has to buy into the league. They play in rag tag fields with car headlights as their floodlights. It's a grass roots league.

But yeah, now that you mention it, Gosling should have been going to school. I guess you could assume we just didn't see this part of his life, and he was going, but yeah, that was a bit of an omission.

This did perplex me a bit too as I tried to find Blue Springs' website. There is none. In fact, there's NO Blue Springs, MT!! However, all the other schools mentioned really exist.

Another odd thing is if the school was big enough to have an 11 man football team (the Bisons) there'd be no reason to have a 6 man squad too. When I went to college in Montana I seem to remember 6 man only being in the small towns.

Go figure!
