Soundtrack

Hey All!!!

I recently bought the soundtrack to "The Slaughter Rule" from Bloodshot records...It was ok, the best music on it is from Jay Farrar....Here is a list of his songs..I'd recommend copying them from some MP3 website rather than going out to get the whole cd itself. It's not bad, just didn't think it was worth the $12 I spent on it....

Jay Farrar Score on "The Slaughter Rule"

Open Ground
Frost Heaves
Highwood
Augusta
Buffalo Jump
Freight
Dark Early
Cold Chimes
Gumption
Hangman
Open Ground (reprise)

I highly recommend his music. It consists of very melodic/acoustic guitar music...more along the lines of bluegrass...

If you go to www.theslaughterrule.com there is a website about the movie, etc...and it will tell you how to get to Bloodshot records to get the soundtrack....Hope I've been helpful to anyone interested :)

I agree.. some very interesting music. I take issue with you recommending pirating the songs tho. The artists on this soundtrack are not big stars and they probably could use the support. I worked on the movie and I will be buying the CD.

Hey you dickhead, if you want to listen to music... you'll have to buy it. Artits don't make songs for free. T'es vraiment un sale con de profiteur, trou du cul!

Yeah, buy the album or at least go see the guys when they tour next time if you're gonna pirate it. Respect the artists. They live off their art. Jay Farrar is great but there's also good cuts from Vic Chesnutt, Odessa Yodel and West of Samoa are nice tracks. Jimmy Dal Gilmore's on here too ("Smokey" from The Big Lebowski).

Totally addicted to Rank Stranger.

Thanks for the suggestion.

A little help please. I'm looking for the name of the song the band was playing in the juke joint where Gideon joins them and sits in for a song. It's been quite some time since I saw the movie, so that's about all I can remember about describing the scene.
