Personally, when I saw it, I had to wake up really early, and I was still tired, and I kept on drifting into sleep. And even still, this movie is, in my opinion, a fine example of J-Horror (even if it is technically a thriller, but it is listed on all the J-Horror sites I went to).

Although, Akiko Yada's outfit at the climax was pretty hot. Hmmm, leather miniskirt and boots. Gggrawr!

I really like this film i always caught the end of it but never seen it so i finally watched it today.... Very good movie IMHO...

I don't LOVE it, but I like it.
It's an entertaning and well mounted fantasy thriller, with a lot more heart and soul than most of its ilk. It has it's flaws though, such as its slightly disappointing score (Composer Ko Otani is usually much better than this) some instances of dated FX, and a few spots where its low budget shows.
It doesn't quite match up to director Shusuke Kaneko's best, such as Gamera 3 and the Death Note films, but I'd still give it a solid 7/10.
