Call me weird, but I actually thought it was good. I just watched it on Lifetime Movie Network tonight, a little while ago.
shareBy Lifetime standards, it's not a bad movie...but by Hollywood standards it's a completely different ballgame.
I found this to be one of the best storylines I had ever seen in a film. I'm in my fifties and remember those times like they were yesterday. I didn't feel this was a mess, OR the worst movie ever. It was much better than some of the crap that gets nominated for Oscars.

The movie wasn't "excellent" but it wasn't the worse movie I've ever seen either. It was typical Lifetime Movie fare which I find entertaining.
The only "ohmygod!" I think is fitting is knowing that the gorgeous Stacey Dash was 35 yrs old when she made this movie!!
I saw it for the first time this weekend and thought, "Wow!". I thought it was great, and like someone else here said, a lot better than some of the crap that's walked away with Oscars and other awards.
shareI put this on my Netflix. I have been waiting to see this film for over 8 years. I thought it would never see the light of day.
shareJust watched the movie on DVD. All I can say is...wow! For a low budget film they really made good use of their funds. I was very impressed with the story line. There were 3 times when I thought the movie had reached a good conclusion and then to my surprise, they kept it going, which caused me to fear that it would have some weird ending, but yet again, a point came to end the movie and they wrapped it up nicely. Kudos to the film makers and all involved. And, they did a nice job of using Kansas City as the back drop!
