shareEven if I thought this were the worst movie ever (it's really one of the best of this century), I'd still want more detail than this to qualify your statement.
shareThis movie is basically a 'stylized cartoon' with ridiculous 'laws of physics' (such as they even exist in the movie's action scenes), that shouldn't be taken seriously. Its glorification of violence and 'girl power' (in a masculine form, of course, because we can never be shown a powerful woman that uses femininity as her power) makes any rational human being roll their eyes.
But it has a few good bits and moments - I just wish they had polished their japanese pronunciation a bit more, so it'd be easier to understand (Lucy Liu is actually pretty good).
Powerful woman in a movie has to always show her power in a masculine form (fighting instead of seduction and mind games, for example), and always shown to be more powerful than thousands of trained men. Because of course that's realistic..
