Is the black sequence a pixar trademark ?

There is a long entirely black sequence.
(when they go to recover the diving mask in the deep trench)

It struck as a daring thing to do in a movie.
It is possibly a joke on how complex their animation usually is.


Cars also has one, right at the beginning.


Did Pixar sneak one in their other movies ?

If so, it would be a signature trademark/easter egg like the pizza truck.
