I liked everything but the ending

it only served to make Stiller and Barrymore less evil since making the whole thing a scheme made the old lady deserve it in a way, as opposed as she just being a really annoying old lady who you just wanted to kill.

I just saw this for the first time last night and the ending was a head-scratcher. So this realtor keeps selling this property over and over again because his mom makes life a living hell for the new owners-of-the-week? How DUMB is this? Who'd go through all that trouble, especially to get the realtor's boyfriend to impersonate a cop!! Stupid.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

I'm sitting here with my mouth open. I admit I like the ending...it's much better than when she pretended to croak the day the new couple moved in. That pissed me off; it was kinda like "ugh!" But what a twist...I was satisfied with it even though it didn't make a ton of sense.

I agree. I was so annoyed when she croaked. I thought they were going to be all upset. Then they were kind of OK with it. But I was mad. I sat through that whole thing for that?? So yes, I too was happy with the ending. At least it validated them. The lady was a beyotch for real.

I did think the cop was up to something the whole time though.
