Stacey fades off

I get that seeing one's spouse shot may put one in an unusual state of mind, but considering how thorough and prepped Vin was, why didn't he try to save her life with compressions, tourniquets or call 911 right way? Almost seemed like he was in on it. Which seems impossible, but given Hollywood and even how this movie was recarved/reshaped like turkey loaf, who knows.
