Guys do not like Vin because they are threatened by him. The same guys that are threatened want to have his fame and especially his money. Good for him that he has made it big and the rest of us are struggling to earn the dollars.

I like him, he seems like he may be an interesting guy to hang out with. I give him mad props on his accomplishments. I'm not threatened by him. Some of the characters he's played I may not like but I don't dislike him. I don't care about his fame or his money. I give him props.

Agreed. I enjoyed most of the movies he was in and don't have a problem with him as an actor. But to be honest, I could care less about celebrities; their lives and their money included. We all bleed the same.

I just saw this "movie" last night I am not sure if it was the horrible writing or the awful acting, but this character was the stupidest thing I have ever seen.
I guess I am "threatened" by him if you mean that I think he could kick my ass... but other than that, I'm pretty much sure that his ridiculous acting is what makes me dislike his movies.

I'm a straight guy and I think Vin is awesome. He has some drive making it big with his short film Multi-Facial and I think he seems like a good guy from what I've heard. In fact, most of the guys I hang with don't dislike Vin either. I don't know what you're talking bout.

I actually like Vin Diesel. He's not a great actor but he has done nothing to upset me, so why would I hate him?
What I do hate is sad threads by sad people like GOT50MILK who somehow have the impression that they have even a flint of phychological insight.

I've heard some guys say they don't like him, but they never give a real reason. I like vin in roles where he is the bad guy. he's got the look for a revenge type character. I first saw him in Pitch Black and loved the way he played riddick.He did a movie called strays years ago, where he played a drug dealer. I've never been able to find it, but heard he was good in it playing sort of the bad guy.
shareVin exudes a relaxed alpha attitude that, when combined with his obvious physical attributes, scares some men. My sense, is that it scares men who are unsure of themselves, and may have some self-esteem issues that aren't being dealt with.

This dude simply ruined his reputation with movies like XXX and Fast and Furious. It's hard to recover from that. Also, he plays the same one track, "i'm a bad dude and i take my self way to seriously" character in most of his movies. Also, his name is Vin Diesel...kinda lame.

i see that you wrote this three years ago and probably have forgotten this post, but, where did this comment come from. most guys i know are a fan of his flicks, including my retired father and my son in his twenties, and we don't always like the same movies or stars. no great shakes as an actor, but he's a good action star.
