During the opening the reporter say's "We have a winner. It's a girl".
This was a teachers dream? Or the previous year's winner? (I had a problem with the subtitles so I'm not quite sure)

Ha! I laugh at the face of danger!

It was a previous winner, the smiling bload-soaked girl you see holding the doll (who turns up in the sequel, actually. As does the doll...)
