My vision ;)

I finished it about 6 hours ago. First time I saw it. In general, the movie blew me away, although I understanded it mainly. I read the posts about the ending, and every place says it's a story about TWO lesbians. But didn't you thought that maybe there was only ONE lesbian? I say it because if I think this way, it makes all perfect sense to me. Why Shi-eun strays away from Hyo-shin after discovering it, and why Hyo-shin commits suicide. About the diary I thought that it had all of Hyo-shin's repressed feelings, and that anybody who got in contact with it would hallucinate and see Hyo-shin. Didn't quite get the part of the poison and medicine, but I conclude that was just a game played by Hyo-shin (and Shi-eun gets so desperate to find the medicine because she thinks that it will cure her remorse for Hyo-shin's death).

What I didn't understand: the opening thing about the seven deaths; and in the intro there are two girls tied by their legs under water, and one unties herself and survives but the other one aparently drowns. Didn't understand what that meant, and who were they (even in the movie's cover there is Hyo-shin (i think) underwater with something red in her hands). And also, what part did the red bird played in the movie.

Please someone help me with all that, and correct me if you think my thinking is wrong.

Regards!

I just saw Mori last night and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Your explanation of why Shi-eun leaves Hyo-shin is pretty interesting. Although you have to remember Shi-eun found out Hyo-shin slept with the teacher, Mr. Goh and was rumored to be pregnant. That had to of upset Shi-eun. I just can't figure out why Hyo-shin would do this.

I can't say for sure what the opening pool sequence or the red bird meant. I can only guess that it was Shi-eun & Hyo-shin underwater with Hyo-shin drowning.

I already want to watch the movie again to get a better understanding. A beautiful film.

I believe the two girls underwater are Shi-eun and Hyo-shin. In my opinion, they are tied together (romantically) but as they start to sink (coming out, etc.), Shi-eun abandons Hyo-shin and pushes her down to drown (leaves her because she can't come to terms with her open sexuality).

Sheessoangelic- that's how I view the underwater part too.
