An OK movie. A 'PAY ATTENTION' movie.

All of the actors and actresses looked the same so the plot was confusing.

Overall it was nice, but no cigar in my book. I LOVED the concept.

That's because you aren't used to Asian faces. I have watched Asian movies for a number of years, and once you get used to the nuances of each person's face you will find it is easier. I do see your point though, as the lack of different hair colour can also add to the difficulty.

The Korean faces are more apt to confuse me than Japanese faces, for some reason. Usually because the girls in the High School Horror Story movies are all wearing identical uniforms and whatnot. I always get stricken with fear near the beginning of them, thinking that I won't be able to keep anyone straight, but I always do. I only got confused momentarily in Wishing Stairs, after the fat girl dyed her hair black. I didn't quite recognize her at first. Still haven't seen Memento Mori, because I'm pissed that they got the meaning of the phrase wrong. But I will probably watch it soon anyway.

It's monkies, by the way.
My sig is an inside joke...but I don't remember why it was funny.

Are you serious? I only started watching Korean movies this past year, but it's hardly that much of a challenge to differentiate between the actor's faces.

The 3 main ladies in Memento Mori look completely different from one another. I really don't see how you can get them confused. Min-ah has really unique looking eyes, a slightly prominent nose, and a very small mouth. Shi-eun, in my opinion the loveliest of the three, has a slightly thinner face with gorgeous eyes and a beauty mark on her neck. They also have different hairstyles. Shi-eun has the short, tomboyish bob cut and Hyo-shin has the short and straight symmetrical cut.

Maybe if I knew the history of Korea better it would make more sense. In M.M. they mention "Japanese Oppression" (or is it Japanese Colonialism?)

Korea became a Japanese colony in the early 20th century. There may have been some mixed marriages, but for the most part I don't there is really a "native Korean" look since everyone is unique unto themselves. I mean, a Japanese-looking Korean woman might not even be Japanese at all in her blood. It's just a matter of genetics and what you are given from your parents.

I can kind of see what it means by saying they look the same, but no each an every one of them look diffirent.

Shi-Eun and the girl who had the camcorder at the beginning of the movies looked alike to me at first because they both have shorter hair. Everyone else I could tell apart.
