OK, I understand that Spyro games aren't the best for plot but really, how did they make 150 dragon eggs when all the dragons except Spyro are old men?

Maybe the men can lay eggs?
Don't male sea horses carry the babies?
Well some kind of sea creature.

I just assumed that the imprisoned dragons shown in the first Spyro game were elders, while the female and younger dragons were unseen. Later Spyro games featured female dragons.
