I highly doubt it but as anyone by any chance actually seen this movie (or heard of it)? I rented and it was really good. I'm a fan of low buget horror/sci-fi type movies. Anyway just thought I would check it out.
Yeah I just watched it, I liked it, I don't quite see why it's rated at 5/10 since I've seen movies that are much worse. It was enjoyable, kept my attention, not the absolute greatest movie obviously, but still fun to watch, it deserves better.
I've actually had the movie for about 3 months now but never really got around to watching it. Well I just watched it tonight and I was very surprised by how much I actually liked it. I was expecting it to be one of those really low grade movies but it's something that I would actually watch again.
I just finished watching it and I thought it was pretty good. I'm a fan of horror movies period (which might explain the paranoia, lol. J/k) so I watched it, expecting to pay more attention to my computer than the movie, but I was really surprised. The information on my TV said it was called 'The Surge' though. Okay, enough from me. I'm gonna go and see if there's a sequel.
this movie was awsome but a sequil might ruin it. it was one of the coolest movies that wernt scary but wernt trying to be , i love horror movies but there are very few that are actually scary. but this movie altho it wasnt scary it really got my attention
This was the best low budget independant film I have seen. I am now writing an analysis paper on it for my Art & Film Class! The music rocks and so does Matt Scollon (Reese)!!!
If they had added at least another ten grand they could have polished it up a bit, but I liked the concept though. Did anybody notice how the main characters could be walking around the school in DAYLIGHT and yet you could see that the crew were waving FLASHLIGHTS at them?
Saw it back in '02 with my little brother on late night tv. Must have been channel 7 or 11. Can't remember which. Completely forgot about this film until just recently. I remember liking it but, then again, I was quite young at the time so that might be my nostalgia blinders talking.
I loved it, but why didn't the girl that can make people do things by looking at them just look at the principal and demand for their personal electronics back? It would've been simpler...and was just too obvious of a choice rather than them breaking in. Even in her powers were getting weak, she was able to use Reese's help to convince the police man.
I've seen worse, but yeah, I turned this one off halfway through. The characters were all caricature stereotypes straight out of, and I found myself annoyed by how formulaic everything was. I have no problem redoing an old concept, but at least make it interesting. Okay, outcasts get back at their tormentors, Carrie-style...I like where it's going. Oh, they're forcing them to pick their nose, or sit in a recycling bin. Is this a movie or "Double Dare"?
The shaky camerawork and flash-frame effects were annoying. IMO, when a movie uses all those special effects and graphics, it often does nothing but cover up a weak script. I had a feeling that was what I was getting into when I saw the opening credits. And I wanted to slap Ashley's character...speaking of which, did Reese ever grow a pair and tell her to STFU?
