Just saw the movie last night. I thought it was sad. A girl doing everything she can to be normal no matter what the cost my be. The ending left you wandering and wide open to a sequel. I would watch the sequel if they had one. This movie was different. Loved the move

Sorry to disagree, but this is one of the most final endings I have ever seen.
Tara has changed from an outside animal to an inside one - and that dissolves her human identity into a void.
So in the end she does not recognize her image in the water anymore.
I do agree that the movie is beautiful, but thank God that there is no sequel - because the mere idea of one would destroy the message this film has.
I was really freaked out by this movie ... I was expecting a typical Z-grade horror movie and it turned out to be something unexpectedly deep. The idea that she lost her humanity like that was pretty chilling. A sequel would cheapen the impact of it.
