is it true there are people out there like Tara?

I know the actress that played Tara the wolf girl doesn't look like that in real life but are there people that have hair on their faces and body in real life like her in the movie? I read the condition is called hypertrichosis.

they lived because they faced the fear of being called a freak, and lived life to the fullest

There are indeed people like that, there's an entire family in Mexico, 16 people born with it. Go to amiannoying.com and you can see pictures.

Leg, I suggest you actually watch The Discovery channel or pick up a history book. Or turn ont he news... Or watch Ripley's Believe it or not... or go outside or something.. It's rare but people born with fur covering their entire body do exist. It's nto all cons for circuses. It's a horrible condition where the skin is too weak and senseitive so the body compensates by growing a coarse hair. Your ignorance is shameful and astounding. Try looking something up before giving false answers.

i used to do that all the time, brushing my hair down on my face and then putting on glasses, it fooled tons of people and even scored me a few dates

Yes, 'genius' it CAN be faked but there IS a real disease that causes a body to grow hair all over it and even for children to be BORN covered in something like fur. Watch the discovery channel, you insensitive clod.

Wow. You are one cruel little SOB, aren't you?

I saw a child with that disease once. You wouldn't be so vicious if you had seen the little boy.

People afflicted with hypertrichosis have normal skin. What happens is the hair is believed to be linked to an X-chromosome. All babies have a fine coat of "fur" while they're developing in the wound. Hypertrichosis Lanugiosa (I may have misspelled that) is simply a condition when this hair fails to fall out. There are some forms of hair growth caused by weak skin, but this doesn't fall into any of the subclasses of hypertrichosis.

Yes what she had was a very real skin condition.
