Question for the director, Billy.

Does the homeless man in Scotland PA, have any character reference to Shakespeare's Macbeth?

Are you making any more movies soon?!

I believe that the homeless man represents the servants that Macbeth framed and then killed. I don't really have anything to back back me up on this; it's my own interpretation.

I also figured that Andy represented the guard/s that Macbeth killed after getting them drunk (remember later in the movie Mac sharing a flask with Andy)
Andy was discovered wearing Duncan's jewelry so he was a suspect in the murder--- the jewelry must correspond to the blood that Macbeth smeared on the guards, implicating them.

In the movie, there's no explanation as to how Andy the homeless guy ended up with Norm/Duncan's jewelry. Was that scene cut? anybody know? Did Mac and Pat speed off in that Camaro to Andy's place near McCleery's garage and stick Norm's ring on his finger and Norm's chain around his neck?

Great movie!

I listened to the commentary of this movie, and the director said that he made up that character because he wanted more blood (even though Shakespeare gave him plenty). It is not at all connected with a character in the play.
