I think this movie has almost flawless music selection. All the music is great for each scene and really add to the enjoyment of the movie. I'm curious if others agree and what other movies people feel like this for. I would say Lord of the Rings is the other movies that come to mind even though it is a different type of music.

shareKubrick was pretty outstanding in picking music for his films. Particularly Space Odyssey and Clockwork Orange. But even in Strangelove, even though "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" might be the only music (I'm not sure, besides the closing montage with "We'll Meet Again") it is sardonically perfect!

Sex, Lies and Videotape ... really anything Steven Soderbergh. And, more recently, Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. And, as stated, most Wes Anderson movies have great music. Life Aquatic is amazing.

After I saw Taxi Driver, back when, I chased down the soundtrack. Also, The Talented Mr. Ripley...music-songs fit every scene. Broken Flowers with Bill Murray. Moonrise Kingdom. But my favorite is Gone Girl...music by Trent Reznor....especially the perfect score for her slashing Doogie's throat...you can hear his dying heartbeat, morbid and fascinating and just Perfect..
