I'm in the middle of watching this movie
And I think it is intriguing and original and very good. I m surprised it isn't more popular.

shareThis movie is one of my guilty pleasures. It never got great reviews but I've always enjoyed it immensely. Just caught it a few days ago on cable again. I thought Richard Gere and Laura Linney were terrific as was the rest of the supporting cast. Seriously creepy and always gives me goose bumps.
Remember us, for we too have lived, loved and laughed
Feel the same about the movie. I remember recommending it after I saw it and had never heard about it when it was released in theaters. Chilling story/movie.
shareI saw it in theaters when it was released, remember liking it a lot except for the ending, also even though it has very good cinematography, the pacing was a bit too slow for my own personal liking... I'd rate it about a flat-low 7.
It creeped me TF out when I watched it as a teen. There was an accompanying documemtary which creeped me out even more.

Some people think "horror" is all about gore, violence and sadism (Eli Roth).
I've always preferred the stories that focus on mood, mystery and at least some intelligence in the characters.
"Mothman" is a closet classic as far as I'm concerned. I loved Laura Linney's character.
agreed, every time i look out the window at night I think of that old lady's story when she looked out and saw the Mothman. Still scares me to this day.
