Kaylee....

...is NOT Jason's girlfriend. They are best friends, plain & simple. There is no romance in this movie whatsoever.

Why can't people handle the concept of being platonic friends with the oppsite gender? One of my best friends is a girl, and we don't really have any romantic tension between us.

Why is that so hard for people to understand?

And who the heck changed the Kaylee credit to say "Jason's girlfriend"?

I rented the movie the other day (purely because I love Frankie Muniz and was watching Malcolm in the Middle when my mum left for the video shop) and I watched it at least 4 more times before we returned it, not including the Frankie Muniz commentary.
I liked that Amanda didn't appear to be wearing make-up or making a big effort with her appearance.
Things like Lizzie McGuire (no offence, I love it) make it so obvious that the characters - Lizzie and Miranda mainly - wear makeup, and they wear it in every episode. Then again it's about growing up and I certainly know makeup's a big part of that for us girls.
Again, the Harry Potter films (I, myself am a Harry Potter freak. I love the books and the films - for different reasons - and own a Harry Potter t-shirt. I am also a registered member of at least 3 Harry Potter fan sites and 1 Daniel Radcliffe fan site). I started getting about one spot every two months or so when I was about 12 and if you look at some of the close-ups, it's very obvious that Rupert and Dan in particular (I know they're 13 & 14) are wearing makeup. But they're playing real teenage wizards who wouldn't cover things like that up - they've got more on their minds... you know who...

Someone else changed it again, so now it just says "Kaylee, Jason's friend".
Much better.

I agree, Amanda didn't wear a lot of makeup in "Big Fat Liar" nor were her looks a focal point in the movie. She's a natural beauty, she doesn't need to wear lots of makeup.

That's what I loved about this movie. For once I could actually relate to the main female character.
