Many folks here(mostly those who hate this film) have asked why a teaser trailer would be made before the film has even started shooting.

Is it that hard to figure out why the teaser was out before the movie even started shooting?

That shows just how arrogant Wolf is --he's so sure it's gonna be a hit that he's already got ads for the flick playing before the movie has started shooting. That's just how cocky he is.

Pretty obvious really.

I agree. (BTW, someone asked if they actually did that for movies, they did that for the da Vinci Code.)

They do this all the time. And if you look at the trailer, it just has people looking at something but you don't see what. I guess Marty felt he could do that because he felt it would be his magnum opus.
